Panthella 400 Floor Lamp

Designed by Verner Panton in 1971, the Panthella explores the relationship between light and form through an organic shape that both reflects and shapes light.

More than 50 years later, the design takes on a new scale with the Panthella 400 Floor, a compact version of the original.

With its smaller proportions, the Panthella 400 Floor brings Panton’s classic into more intimate settings, from smaller rooms to spaces with lower ceilings and angled walls.

The shape is characteristic of Panton, who strove to create a lamp whose light was reflected in the base as well as in the shade. In white opal acrylic, the fixture emanates a pleasant, diffused light. The Panthella Floor continues to be one of Verner Panton’s most cherished lamps, together with the Panthella Table.
